Privacy policy

Who we are

This website is run by Ryan Penny and Perspective4 Life FZCO, a company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described here. We handle it in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address, name (optional) and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password itself.
• Purchases: what you bought, the amount, and the payment reference from Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe processes your card details; we never see or store them.
• Listening progress: which chapter and how far into it you are, so you can continue on any device.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you write.
• Website use: our server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) to keep the site secure. If we turn on analytics, it only runs after you accept it in the cookie banner. See the cookie policy.

Please don't send medical records or detailed health information through the contact form. Personal consultations take place at Bedaya Polyclinic, which keeps clinical records under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

• To give you access to what you've bought, and remember where you stopped listening.
• To take payment, send receipts and sign-in emails, and handle refunds.
• To reply to your enquiry and arrange consultations, coaching or speaking work.
• To keep the website secure and, only with your consent, understand how it is used.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on the contract with you (to deliver what you bought), your consent, our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site, and legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we don't send marketing emails unless you ask for them.

Who we share it with

• Stripe, to take payments;
• our hosting provider, where the website, database and audio files are stored;
• our email provider, to send account and purchase emails and deliver contact-form messages;
• Google Analytics, only if analytics is turned on and you have accepted it;
• authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers process data outside the UAE. Where that happens, we rely on their contractual and security safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and purchases for as long as your account exists, so you keep access to what you bought, and order records for as long as UAE tax and accounting rules require. Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; you will then lose access to your purchases.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, use the contact form. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office or your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is not aimed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, audio is only streamed to signed-in owners, and we limit who can access personal data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
